Eric Leckie
Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, Military Law, Security Clearance, and Family Law
Marine Corps JAG, Former Prosecutor, and Aggressive Trial Attorney
Eric Leckie’s experience begins with a national tragedy. While in law school, he witnessed first-hand the destruction during 9/11 when he worked on the “bucket brigade” lines at ground zero in lower Manhattan. He decided then that he wanted to serve as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps. Shortly after his initial training, Eric was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to be the Combined Forces Command, Operational Law Chief in Kabul, Afghanistan. During his 12 years on active duty, Eric spent time in the court room as a prosecutor, advised commanders as a Staff Judge Advocate, and trained partner nation forces throughout Africa and Asia.
Upon leaving active duty, Eric established Invictus Law in Virginia Beach, while continuing to serve as a Marine JAG reservist. He is a highly experienced lawyer in the areas of federal criminal defense, military law, and security law. He brings more than 16 years of experience in cases ranging from DUI, assault and battery on family members to serious sex crimes, murder, and complex federal drug conspiracy and child pornography cases. He is also one of the most experienced security clearance law attorneys in Hampton Roads and has saved the careers of countless active duty service members and civilians by protecting their secret and top-secret clearances in contested DOHA hearings and appeals.
